About

Since 2005 when Chef Jerome went from the Buccaneer Restaurant to open his 4 table Old School Diner “family restaurant” people followed him. Only serving the freshest seafood from local waters is his goal. Additions to his very small space were made over the following years and now can seat 200+ people. That amount “of family” is rare at the Old School Diner but on special occasions, like Mother’s day, it comes very close to capacity.

Sometime folks have a hard time finding The Old School Diner, and if you need directions we suggest using Google Maps  on your phone or make a print out before you come visit us. We are not in Townsend, GA but that is where our mail goes and is the city address of all of North McIntosh County.

Darien (Georgia’s Second City) is just a quick 20 minute drive South on US17 or I-95  and Savannah (Georgia’s First City) is 50 miles to our North. Brunswick and The Sea Islands are a quick 50 miles to our South.

The Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge is just a few miles east of our location, if you get there you have gone to far.
